About V.V.P Engineering College

Vyavasayi Vidya Pratishthan is set up by Rajkot Nagarik Sahakari Bank Ltd. to promote quality education in various fields. The trust was founded in 1996 with the objective of meeting educational needs of Gujarat. The trust prides itself of establishing the first engineering college in Rajkot, the central location of Saurashtra and Kutch region. V.V.P. Engineering College is a self-financed institution affiliated to Saurashtra University and Gujarat Technological University, recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and the Government of Gujarat.

It has specially designed campus in 30 acres land with spacious building providing an adequate infra-structural facility which is set in a beautiful natural surrounding. It is Landscaped with enlivened architecture, creating an atmosphere conducive to learning.Campus is located 10 Km. west of Rajkot city on Kalawad Road with transportation and conveyance facilities.

Milestones

V.V.P. Engineering College was established in 1996 with three branches, Mechanical engineering, Chemical engineering and Electrical engineering as initial setup.
Information Technology branch was started in year of 1999.
Electronics & Communications and Computer Engineering were started in 2001.
The college campus has been rewarded for the best architect award in the year of 2001.
In May 2004, V.V.P. Ranked in top six engineering college of Gujarat by the committee under the leadership of retired high court judge founded as per the guidance of honorable Supreme Court.
V.V.P. Engineering College started Bachelor of Biotechnology Engineering Course in 2004. V.V.P. became the first and only one college in Gujarat to offer this course.
Foundation stone of the state of the Art "Online Resource center and Library" was laid down by former HRD minister Shri Dr. Murlimanohar Joshi.
