Electricity is a vital form of energy and is an inevitable part of our lives. To match steps with this ever expanding world of electricity and contribute to its betterment we offer graduate level course in electrical engineering which deals with subjects like fundamentals of electrical engineering, electrical machines and design, electrical power systems and design, high voltage engineering, electrical measurements, power electronics and drives, microprocessors, instrumentation and control system, etc.

The Department is enriched with senior staff having master degree and pursuing Ph.D. The students are also enjoying high placement ratio.

In order to strengthen the practical know-how for the theoretical background studied by the students various laboratories are available at their disposal. A fully equipped computer center with latest softwares has been developed recently.

• Department students are enjoying highest placement ratio with effort of dept. staff and training of placement committee, company like Nirama, Sidhee cement, ACC, Sanghi cement have recruited our student.
• Most of staff are having master degree and preparing Ph.D.
• Department staff is also teaching employers if Reliance Industries in Electrical & Instrumentation degree courses. These two courses are co-coordinated by Electrical Department.
• Department frequently arrange Seminars / Training courses expert lecturers on advanced topics like ‘PLC’, ‘ Flexible AC transmission’, ’Fuzzy logic’, ’Power quality issues’
• Each year No. of students are getting excellent result in competitive exams like “GATE“etc. No. of our students are perusing P.G. Courses in I.I.T.
• Department is also doing testing work for, department has successfully completed testing work for companies like IOC, Field marshall, CPF committee.
• Department has completed project teach student of Christ college at V.V.P.College premises.
• Many pass out students of this department are working in no. of multinational companies like Infosys, Mahindra & Brtish telecom, Tata consulting services, tata power etc.
• Many pass out students of this department are perusing their master & doctorate degree courses abroad.

                                 The department has Lincence copy of MATLAB 7.3 and Simulink with various toolboxes.This award winning Software Package provides basic reference for electrial calculation and simulation as well as advance system design & optimization.

                         Mi POWER 6.0  is a collection of powerful power system analysis and simulation toolboxes, would be very much useful to understand analyze Power system components for Pre-final & final year electrical students.
